3 Degree Guarantee: Oxford House gets $1,450 check
We are presenting another 3 Degree Guarantee check to a local charity.
The Johnny Adams Law Firm and Action 8 News are giving a check to Oxford House.
We are presenting a check for $1,450, which is what we raised in June for getting Montgomery’s high temperature correct in our weather forecasts, within three degrees.
Oxford House is a non-profit that helps people who need its sober living services to get back on their feet.
“Since the houses are fully self-supporting, what we would like to use this money for is sending members to our world convention, which is in Orlando this year,” Dale Cheatwood of Oxford House said. “It’s where members from 3,900 houses that we have nationwide get together to learn, fellowship and share the joy that sober living has provided them.”
“It’s really an honor to help programs like Oxford House,” Johnny Adams of the Johnny Adams Law Firm said. “Many people have problems with addictions to alcohol and drugs, and this program is proven to help people. People can go in and live in the house, and it helps get over the hurdle of the addiction. I would recommend it to anybody who needs help.”

The money grows during the month, to produce a big check that we give to charities right here in our area.
