Very hot, humid weather with scattered showers, storms continues
Sunday was a very hot and humid day across central and south Alabama. By the afternoon, our entire area was included in a heat advisory. Heat indices were as high as 110°. Fortunately, some showers and storms formed during the evening. However, coverage was isolated to widely scattered, so some locations stayed very hot throughout the afternoon. Storms linger into the evening, but fade away overnight, with lows in the mid 70s.
ANOTHER heat advisory cover central Alabama Monday. Afternoon temperatures surge into the mid 90s, with heat indices near or above 105°. However, showers and storms become scattered about during the afternoon. So at least part of our area receives cooling rain through the evening. Tuesday’s weather plays our similarly, but rain chances look lower for the rest of the week.
