AFC South to host first-ever playoff game Saturday

AFC South is taking on its first season as a team, but the Storm has already clinched a home playoff game.

They did it in convincing fashion last night in front of their home crowd. AFC South dominated Pensacola Bay United FC from start to finish. Defensively, the Storm didn’t even allow a shot on goal until the 42nd minute of the game—which goalie Michalis Jackson took care of. Offensively, they put on a clinic, scoring nine goals to win 9-1.

Now they get ready for their playoff game next Saturday.

The Storm will host LA Krewe Rush out of Lafayette, Louisiana. AFC South earned the 2-seed out of the East, while LA Krewe stands third out of the West.

The Gulf Coast Premier League quarterfinal will kickoff at 6:15 PM this Saturday at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex.  You can watch the stream here.
