Keep That Umbrella Handy Until Further Notice
We remain is a rather active weather pattern and there’s several more days of it to come. A rich supply of gulf moisture continues to flow into the area. This is the fuel for those daily rounds of showers and storms. You can expect this weather setup through the upcoming weekend and into next week.
In the meantime, showers and storms are possible through the evening hours but it’s looking quiet overnight. Thursday starts out with a partly cloudy sky and temps in the mid 70s. Temps will manage to climb into the lower 90s by midday. The daytime heating will lead to scattered showers and storms. Some storms will be capable of heavy downpours, gusty winds and frequent lightning strikes.
Looking ahead, we expect each day will be pretty much a repeat of the day before. Temps will hover in the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs. That will down just a bit due to the increased clouds and rain activity. Again, there’s no signs this rainy weather pattern lets up anytime soon. We suggest you keep the umbrella handy until further notice.
