There’s More Rain & T-storms Ahead This Week
We continue to remain in a very active weather pattern. An area of high pressure remains parked over the western Atlantic. The high will continue to circulate a rich supply of gulf moisture into the area. This setup with fuel daily rounds of showers and storms over our area all this week and into the weekend.
In the meantime, we expect showers and t-storms to linger into the late evening hours. Most will weaken and die out before midnight. Warm and humid conditions are likely to continue through the night. Temps will drop into the lower to mid 70s for lows. The next few mornings will start out similar to the day before with partly to mostly cloudy skies and temps in the mid to upper 70s. As each day progresses, showers and t-storms gradually develop and increase in number as we move through the afternoon hours. Temps will manage to reach the upper 80s to lower 90s before the rain activity has an impact on temps.
We’re seeing the potential for less coverage of showers and t-storms Friday and Saturday. As a result, temps will warm a bit more and we could see lower 90s more likely for afternoon highs. We expect the daily rounds of showers and t-storms to continue most of next week as well. Keep that umbrella and rain gear within reach.
