Marion man dies in Marengo County crash
A two-vehicle crash in Marengo County has claimed the life of a Marion man.
Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say the crash happened around 11:35 a.m. Friday on Alabama 28, approximately two miles west of Linden.
Troopers say 37-year-old Tristan Harris was fatally injured when the 2015 Volvo tractor-trailer he was driving struck a train and caught on fire.
Officials say Harris was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating the accident.
