Pay It Forward: Rosetta Johnson of Montgomery
Rosetta Johnson has a non-profit organization called Caps and Socks, Inc.. You can find her delivering caps and socks to the elderly and homeless throughout the River Region, and many times, it comes from money from her own pocket.
She was nominated for the Vance Law Firm’s Pay it forward award because of her caring heart.
“I nominated her because she is a caregiving person. She goes above and beyond to help other people. If anybody needs her, she’s going to be there for them. She’s going to try to do whatever she can to help them. She goes out of her way to help you if you need it, ” said Marie Gulley.
Johnson says she learned to pay it forward at an early age.
“I grew up watching my grandmother and mother. When somebody was sick, elderly was sick in the neighborhood, they would pack up stuff, go to the house and help them. So it grew up in me to do the same thing, so I’m just carrying their legacy with the heart full of love,” said Johnson.
