Active shooter training drill planned in Prattville on Monday
You may hear gunfire, sirens and helicopters in Prattville on Monday as an active shooter training drill is conducted.
The exercise is scheduled to take place at Prattville Christian Academy on Old Farm Lane from 7AM until noon.
You may see a heavy presence of law enforcement officers and other first responders. Those participating in the drill include the Prattville Police Department, the Prattville Fire Department, Prattville Baptist Health, Haynes Ambulance, the Autauga County Emergency Management Agency and the Elmore County Emergency Management Agency.
The event is closed to the public.
Role players will be testing emergency response in real-life conditions as if an active shooter is on campus.
