Showers And T-storms Will Be Around This Weekend
We go into the first weekend of August with typical hot and humid conditions in play. We expect mid 90s for highs. There will be scattered showers and t-storms around and that could help some beat the heat just a bit.
A frontal boundary will work into the area and stall right over us. This boundary help trigger those afternoon showers and t-storms both Saturday and Sunday. Any storms that do develop will be capable of heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes.
Next week is looking typical for this time of the year. Hot and mainly dry, We can’t rule out an isolated shower or t-storm but most remain rainfree. Temps will hover in the mid to upper 90s for highs.
The tropical system moving over the eastern gulf isn’t expect to have any major impacts on our weather. All indications are the system will move across the Florida peninsula and along the southeast Atlantic coast. We’re watching with some interest the next few days.
