Death investigation underway after a body was found on Montgomery highway

Montgomery police have opened up a death investigation after a body was found along a highway this afternoon.

Capt. Raymond Carson tells Action 8 News that around 3:36 p.m., MPD and fire medics responded to the 1300 block of E. South Blvd. after receiving a call that a person was down. This is near the intersection of Narrow Lane Road, not far from Baptist Medical Center South.

At the scene, they made contact with an unidentified individual who was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police ask individuals with knowledge of this death investigation to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 625-4000, or MPD at 625-2831.
