Summer heat continues Labor Day, better rain chances this week
September began Sunday across central and south Alabama, but it still felt like summer. High temperatures were in the mid and upper 90s across nearly all of our area. A few showers and storms formed during the afternoon. However, most locations were hot and dry all day. Rain faded away Sunday evening, and Sunday night looks dry with a clearing sky and lows in the low 70s.
Labor day looks hot, with high temperatures in the mid and perhaps upper 90s in a couple locations. Rain coverage remain low, with only isolated showers or storms during the afternoon.
