Man killed in Chilton County car crash
A man has been killed in a one-car crash on Interstate 65 in Chilton County.
Alabama State Troopers say 57-year-old Vernon Cooper of Birmingham was driving a car that left the interstate, hit an embankment and overturned. Investigators say Cooper was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the wreckage and died.
The wreck happened at about 5:30PM yesterday about two miles north of Clanton.
