Selma man sentenced to 20 years in prison in toddler’s death

A Selma man convicted of manslaughter in the death of toddler — will spend the next two decades in prison.

Circuit Judge Marvin Wiggins sentenced Tristan Dial to 20 years in prison Wednesday morning.

Dial was convicted of causing the death of the 23-month-old child of a woman he was dating.

The child died back in 2017 from injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

A 20 year sentence is the maximum allowed for a manslaughter conviction.
