Man charged with killing wife in Troy
Troy police say a man has been charged with shooting and killing his wife.
Troy police say at about 12:42 this afternoon, they were called to the 1000 block of County Road 2221. That’s where they found 37-year-old Jennifer Paramore Hill of Troy suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken by ambulance to a Montgomery hospital, but died of her injuries.
Police said her husband, 39-year-old Benjamin Joshua Hill of Troy, was present at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. Following an investigation, police say he was charged with murder.
He is being held in the Pike County Jail without bond pending an Aniyah’s Law hearing.
