Some sunshine, a few showers Sunday; More rain late next week

After a gloomy Friday with an overcast sky and soaking rain, Alabama dried out Saturday. Although, some clouds lingered across our area, especially south towards the Florida state line. Temperatures were quite a bit warmer than Friday, particularly in the sunnier locations. Montgomery nearly warmed to 90°, with a high temperature of 89°.

Saturday night looks mostly cloudy and milder with lows in the mid to upper 60s. Sunday looks partly cloudy, with more clouds south again. A few showers appear possible, mainly south, and mainly during the afternoon. Temperatures warm into the 80s, with highs in the more sunny locations in the mid to upper 80s. Sunday night looks partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the 60s.

Next week begins mainly dry and warm with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°. Monday through Wednesday look partly cloudy with minimal chances for rain. Rain chances likely rise late next week. It looks like a tropical cyclone may develop in the western Gulf of Mexico early next week, then track towards the east Texas or west Louisiana coast Wednesday. Rain spreads across Alabama Thursday into Friday.
