Alabama DisAbility Conference underway in the River Region

The Alabama DisAbility Conference is underway this week in the River Region.

Hundreds of people with disabilities from across the state gathered at the Montgomery Marriott in Prattville to learn way to make our state more inclusive.

Agencies, businesses and educators who support people with disabilities will be recognized for their outstanding service to their community.

Awards included Agency of Distinction, Exemplary Educator, Education Advocate of the Year, Inclusive Employer, Distinguished Direct Support Professional, Distinguished Professional of the Year, National Award for Distinguished Service, Legislative Advocate of the Year, Employee of the Year, Rehabilitation Professional of the Year, Self-Advocate of Distinction, Promising Young Leader, Family of the Year and ARC Executive Director of the Year.

The conference continues through Tuesday.
