Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Trolley in Birmingham
Authorities say a pedestrian is dead after being struck by a trolley in downtown Birmingham.
Police haven’t released the name of the person who died in the accident, which happened around noon Tuesday.
But they say a woman was hit and killed by a trolley-style bus while trying to cross a street near the Five Points South section of downtown.
The local transit system operates the trolleys.
