Juvenile injured in Montgomery hit and run

Montgomery police say a boy was injured in a hit and run early Wednesday morning.

Maj. Saba Coleman says around 7:23 a.m., police and fire medics responded to the 100 block of Federal Drive regarding a person hit by a vehicle.

Once they arrived, they found a boy with non-life threatening injuries on the scene.

The boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say the driver fled the area before officers arrived on the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
