18-year-old from Union Springs killed in ATV crash

An 18-year-old from Union Springs has been killed in an ATV wreck in Macon County.

Alabama State Troopers say the 18-year-old, whose name hasn’t been released, was riding the ATV at about 4PM Friday. Investigators say the ATV left the road, hit an embankment and then a tree. The 18-year-old was thrown off the ATV and died at the scene.

The crash happened on Boromville Road near Macon County Road 10, about 10 miles north of Hurtsboro.
