All Dallas Co. Schools 3rd Graders meet state standards
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Third graders in the Dallas County School district performed exceptionally well on the end of the year assessment test. And school officials aim to continue that success.
School officials say every 3rd grader in the district from last year — passed on to the 4th grade.
As part of the Alabama Literacy Act — 3rd graders who were unable to master 3rd grade standards — could be held back.
“And right now, we’re walking on 100-percent and we look to build on that tradition as we move forward here in Dallas County,” said Superintendent Anthony Sampson.
The Dallas County Schools has about 132 third graders — spread over six elementary schools.
