Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee Kicks Off in Selma
From the West Alabama Newsroom–Â The 21st Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee is officially underway in Selma.
The five-day event features more than 40 separate events — everything from workshops — to a parade — and even a film festival.
Selma’s biggest tourist event of the year kicked off with a welcome reception and a play about Jimmy Lee Jackson.
Opening night events also included a mass meeting at the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church and wrapped up with the Miss Jubilee Pageant.
