Second suspect charged in Montgomery triple homicide

Fs Double MugMontgomery police have charged another suspect in a triple homicide at a Hispanic grocery store earlier this year.

Police say 18-year-old Dequandray Savage, of Montgomery, is charged with three counts of capital murder.

As Action 8 News has reported, the shooting happened just before 9PM on June 4 in the 4100 block of Troy Highway, at the location of Tienda Los Hermanos. Robbery was the apparent motive.

Police say 50-year-old George Elijah, Jr. and 20-year-old Daniel Lopez died at the scene, while 43-year-old Romero Lopez passed away from his injuries at a local hospital.

Savage is the second suspect charged in the shooting. Earlier this year, 18-year-old Jarques Butler, of Montgomery was arrested and also charged with three counts of capital murder.

Butler and Savage are both in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
