Montgomery man charged with DUI in stolen car in Auburn

A Montgomery man is charged with driving under the influence in a stolen car in Auburn.

Auburn police say they arrested 31-year-old Christopher Lamar Reese on September 22.  He was charged with receiving stolen property in the first degree and DUI.

Police say they saw the stolen vehicle near the intersection of North Gay Street and East Glenn Avenue. They say Reese was the driver and the only one inside the vehicle.

Officers confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from another police jurisdiction. Reese was taken to the Lee County Jail and held on a $6,500 bond.
