Motorcyclist killed in Covington County crash

A crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Covington County has left the motorcyclist dead.

Alabama State Troopers say 29-year-old Brandon Veasey II of Andalusia was riding the motorcycle when it was hit by the pickup, driven by 21-year-old Austin Ingram, also of Andalusia.

Investigators say Veasey was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

The crash happened at about 6:45AM yesterday at the intersection of Covington County 65 and U.S. Highway 84, about one mile east of Sanford.
