Alabama State football preps for annual Magic City Classic

The Alabama State football team just had a bye week. Before that, the Hornets dominated Mississippi Valley State 54-17 to improve to 2-1 in SWAC play.

Now, the Hornets (3-3, 2-1 SWAC) face a crucial matchup in the annual Magic City Classic against Alabama A&M (3-3, 1-1 SWAC) in Birmingham. Both teams are in contention for the SWAC Eastern Division title.

Kareem Keye may get the start at quarterback for the Hornets. The redshirt freshman made his second start against Mississippi Valley State, completing 14 of 21 passes for 326 yards.
