Action 8’s Shane Butler helps open Central Alabama Fair in Selma
It’s a tradition each year. Action 8 Chief Meteorologist Shane Butler helped open the Central Alabama Fair in Selma!
The fair is put on by the Selma Lions Club. It is in its 68th year. You can find rides, games, fair food and entertainment.
“We’re just so excited,” Selma Lions Club President Carolyn Dunaway told Action 8 News. “We’re glad to see the crowds coming in. Oh, it’s just wonderful. Perfect. We’re a charitable organization, and so our main focus is eyesight, so we do vision, we do glasses. We have a Lions Club van that comes in once a month from the state, and then we give to all the charitable organizations within our community.”
The fair runs through Saturday at Lions Club Park on West Dallas Avenue in Selma.
