Mainly dry, very warm November weather continues into next week
Saturday was another warm and dry day with sunshine across central and south Alabama. Morning low temperatures were rather mild, in the upper 50s to low 60s in most locations. Temperatures were very warm during the afternoon, with highs in the mid to upper 80s in most locations. Montgomery was just 1° shy of tying the November 2nd record high temperature of 86°. Saturday night looks partly cloudy and mild with lows in the low 60s.
Sunday looks like another pleasant day with a partly to mostly sunny sky. Temperatures remain well-above-average with highs in the low 80s. Sunday night looks partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the low 60s. Next week begins mainly dry and warm. Monday and Tuesday look partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low 80s. A few stray showers appear possible Tuesday, but most our area remains dry.
Next week’s weather becomes a bit more murky for the latter half of the week. One longer range model suggests better chances for rain Wednesday through Friday, while another keeps our area mainly dry. Next weekend may remain mainly dry, but not all models show that. Check back for updates. Meanwhile, temperatures likely remain warm, with highs in the low 80s and lows near 60°.
