Montgomery man dead in city’s latest homicide

Montgomery police are investigating the city’s latest homicide.

Maj. Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that the fatal shooting happened around 11:02 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Birmingham Highway.

Once officers and fire medics arrived, they found 28-year-old Lee Brown, of Montgomery, with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. Brown was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

This is Montgomery’s 53rd homicide of the year.
