Woman Dies in Alexander City House Fire
A woman has died in a house fire in Alexander City.
Alexander City Fire Chief Reese McAlister confirms to Alabama News Network that the woman died in the fire, which happened at a home in the 2000 block of North Central Avenue on Wednesday
A man was taken to UAB for treatment. His condition is unknown, according to McAlister.
It appears the fire started from unattended cooking.
