Eclectic residents gather to light the town Christmas tree
Joy and merriment were on the agenda in Eclectic Sunday afternoon as the town gathered together to light their Christmas tree. Mayor Gary Davenport led the countdown and the mood was festive as the Eclectic Middle School Choir sang “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” and other Christmas carols. Dozens of families came to watch and even sang along.
The giant gold star on top of the tree is significant because Eclectic is referred to as “The Star of Elmore County.”
