Police: Man says he shot his sister in Millbrook

Millbrook police say a man told them he shot his sister, leaving her seriously injured.

Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson said at about 6:06PM Tuesday, they were called to a shooting in Pine Court. They say the person who called them, 54-year-old Anthony Granata of Millbrook, told them he shot his 55-year-old sister during an argument.

Johnson says the victim was taken to a medical facility where she was treated for what he called serious to life-threatening injuries.

Granata was arrested and charged with assault in the 1st degree. Granata was taken to the Elmore County Jail.
