Two arrested at Bullock Correctional Facility
State prison officials say two people have been arrested at the Bullock Correctional Facility and are now facing charges.
The Alabama Department of Corrections says yesterday, agents and K9 units conducted a vehicle checkpoint near the prison. During that operation, ADOC says a vehicle was observed trying to evade the checkpoint, prompting a traffic stop.
ADOC says a search led to the discovery of approximately one gram of methamphetamine, 30 grams of marijuana and five grams of cocaine.
Investigators say Desiree Wells, a contract employee providing healthcare services at the prison, and Quincy Martin, the driver of the vehicle, were both arrested and taken to the Bullock County Jail.
Wells faces charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Martin faces charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana 1st degree, according to the ADOC.
