Off-duty Montgomery police officer charged, relieved of duty

The Montgomery Police Department says it has started disciplinary  proceedings against a police officer.

The department says the action involves 32-year-old D’Anthony Green after he was charged with domestic violence – third-degree assault on December 7.  

The department says Green was already relieved of duty and placed on administrative leave due to an unrelated incident.

Green, who was assigned to the Special Operations Division, joined MPD in 2017, according to the department.
