Man arrested in shooting death of a Montgomery woman

Montgomery police have made an arrest in a shooting that killed a woman earlier this week.

Police say 35-year-old Devondrick Jones, of Montgomery, was taken into custody for the murder of 26-year-old Courtney Gunn.

The shooting happened around 9:00 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Georgia Street. Once officers arrived, they found Gunn with a fatal gunshot wound. Gunn was pronounced dead on the scene.

Jones is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
