i-TEAM COLD CASE: Montgomery police need your help solving a man’s murder.

On Christmas Day 2018, police were called to a mobile home community at 4041 Twin Lakes Drive, just off Birmingham Highway, where a body had been found. It was identified as that of  34-year-old Joshua Gentry, who died of a gunshot wound.

This case is still unsolved.

“This murder happened right around the Christmas holidays, so right now you’ve got a family that’s mourning,” Tony Garrett, the executive director of Central Alabama CrimeStoppers told Action 8 News.

“Every time Christmas holidays comes up, I know they’re thinking about this case that’s unsolved. So we’re hoping that someone knows something about this case — at least can fill us in as far as what happened, and they may be able to give the family closure so maybe they can start celebrating Christmas again.”

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that can lead to an arrest.
