Macon County EMA director looking ahead to retirement

Macon County Emergency Management Agency Director Frank Lee is retiring at the end of January. He has spent 40 years in public service.

Lee started out as a Macon County Commissioner back in 1986 and was the first chairman to be elected.

He says leaving is bittersweet. but he feels that he is making the best decision for his family and for the citizens of Macon County.

He also says that he is glad to be returning to his alma mater, Tuskegee University. Lee will become a special advisor to Tuskegee University President Dr. Mark Brown.
