Selma police arrest a suspect in the city’s 1st murder of 2025

A Selma man is behind bars tonight — charged in the city’s first homicide of the new year.
Lt. Ray Blanks says 31 year old Jadarius Moore of Selma — has been arrested and charged with murder in the case.
Moore is accused in the death of 34 year old David Lewis of Huntsville.
Lewis was shot last week — on the 1900 block of Minter Avenue — and later died.
Detectives were able to identify Moore as the primary suspect during the investigation into the shooting.
Moore is now in jail — being held without bail — pending a bond hearing.
