Government Concerned Over Heroin Deaths
The government is calling the spike in heroin-related deaths an urgent public health crisis.
Attorney General Eric Holder released a video message, saying overdoses have soared 45-percent since 2006.
He’s encouraging first responders to carry the drug narcan, which can reverse a heroin overdose.
So far only 17 states allow the distribution of that drug.
