Troy police investigating possible sexual abuse of baby
Troy police are investigating the possible sexual abuse of a baby.
Police say on January 10, officers responded to a report at the Troy Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
Police say after an investigation and interviews with the infant’s parents, it was discovered that the infant’s father, 22-year-old Kesean Wilmore, was not in compliance with his state probation from a prior offense.
After further investigation, police charged Wilmore with rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree, incest and child abuse. He is in custody at the Pike County Jail on no bond and is scheduled for an Aniah’s Law hearing.
The baby was taken to a specialized facility for medical treatment.
Police say the Pike County District Attorney’s Office is helping with the investigation.
