One killed, three injured in Pike County wreck
A man has been killed and three others hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Pike County.
Alabama State Troopers say 54-year-old Bill Williams of Brundidge was driving a car that hit the rear end of an SUV driven by 48-year-old Colin Vaughan of Troy.
Investigators say Williams was not using a seat belt, was thrown from the wreckage and died at the scene.
They say Vaughan was also not using a seat belt, was injured and taken to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment.
State troopers say 50-year-old Michelle Ennis of Troy, who was a passenger in the SUV, was injured and taken to Troy Regional Medical Center.
They say a third person in the SUV, 51-year-old Angel D. Buckreis of Ariton, was not using a seat belt, was ejected and taken to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, in Fort Walton, Florida, for treatment.
The crash happened just before 2PM yesterday on U.S. Highway 231 about one mile north of Brundidge.
