Montgomery Fire/Rescue investigating house fire

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged a home last night.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said the fire happened at around 7:30PM at a home in the 500 block of Cliff Road. That location is near Coliseum Boulevard, not far from the Eastbrook Shopping Center.

Flames were showing from the single-story home when fire crews arrived.

The fire was put out, and searches showed that no one was inside at the time of the fire, Cooper said.
