Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Foshee remembered in Millbrook

People in Millbrook took time to remember the life of Hall of Fame high school football coach Jimmy Foshee.

As we’ve reported, former Stanhope Elmore coach Jimmy Foshee died on Thursday at the age of 80.

Yesterday, a memorial was held for Coach Foshee at the school, where the football stadium is named in his honor.
Friends and former players say they’ll remember him for never cursing and for running a disciplined program.
He led the Mustangs from 1976 to 1999, and even though it’s been about a quarter-century since he was on the sidelines, those who knew him say that he’ll live in their hearts forever.
Coach Foshee never had a losing season at Stanhope Elmore, with three undefeated teams. He was inducted into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
His son Jeff Foshee followed him as coach from 2000 to 2015.
