A Round Of Rain Friday
Definitely feeling a little bit like spring around here. It may be easy to catch spring fever but don’t for one minute think old man winter is done with us. There will be more cold air ahead but just not in the next 8 to 10 days.
In the meantime, we have a round of rain moving through the area late tonight into Friday. A frontal boundary will pass through the region. Looks like rain with maybe a rumble of thunder at times. For now, we don’t see anything too strong but a few storms may be capable of 30-40 mph wind gusts. Rainfall potential will range between a trace to half an inch. The rain is gone by late Friday afternoon. This will allow skies to clear and set us up for a pretty nice weekend.
Temps drop slightly behind the frontal passage with highs down into the 60s and lows in the 40s Saturday. It’s back to abundant sunshine and warmer temps Sunday and Monday. We expect to see another surge of 70+ degree warmth returning to the area. Some spots around South Alabama could snag that 80 degree mark during the work week.
