Perry Co. residents speak out about an ongoing water crisis

About a dozen families in west Perry County — have been dealing with major water issues in their homes for about a month.

An entire community of people — is being impacted by the ongoing water crisis.

Residents have been dealing with brown water — off and on water service — or low water pressure at her home for several weeks.

“It means no showers, taking little bird baths with the water that you can boil on the stove,” said Jacqueline Herring.

“It means having to carry water in the house to be able to flush the toilet. So, it’s, it’s a hassle.”

“We would like to have running water. And we want clean water, we don’t just want any water, we want clean water,” said Andrew Gooden.

Residents in the impacted area also say they want a reduction in their monthly water bill.
