Butler County Celebrates Sheriff Danny Bond’s Retirement

Butler County held a special luncheon today to honor the retirement of Sheriff Danny Bond after 40 years of service in law enforcement. The luncheon held at LBW Community College in Greenville celebrates Sheriff Bond’s commitment to Butler County.

Bond began his career in Georgiana in 1985 and now ends it as Sheriff of Greenville, in the same county as his beginning. He was elected sheriff in 2018.

Sheriff Bond says that his retirement is bittersweet but he hopes that the people of Butler County now have more trust for the department and is confident that he leaves the department better than when he came.
