Grief, Grudges and Guilt Stage Play Performing across the Country
Troy native Mekelia Wingard began her passion for writing in Middle School. She wrote a story which she then changed into a scene by scene play, and such a love that has encompassed her hopes and dreams grew into a career. That love for writing and career has pushed her to continue pursuing her goals. And now, she embarks on her first tour.
From her start in Troy, Alabama, she is taking her latest play to Greenville, then Atlanta and her final stop is Chicago, IL. The play writer says she has already produces plays in Mississippi and this venture will be one that she has always hoped for.
As writer, producer and director she makes the audience laugh, cry and most importantly think about issues that face our communities.
