District attorney releases statement on shooting outside Selma Walmart
Dallas County District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr., has released a statement regarding the shooting outside the Selma Walmart.
The shooting happened Friday night. Reports say that one person was killed.
“At this time, law enforcement is actively investigating the incident,” Turner said. “While details remain uncertain, we are working closely with local, state, and federal authorities to gather all available evidence and ensure that justice is served. We urge the public to remain patient as the investigation unfolds, and we will share verified updates as soon as they become available.”
“We understand that this event has caused fear and concern throughout our community. Let us be clear—our office is committed to holding those responsible accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Acts of violence like this have no place in our society, and we will not rest until justice is achieved for the victims and their loved ones.”
