ACTION 8 UPDATE: Name released of juvenile killed in Montgomery shooting
ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police have released the name of the juvenile male killed in a shooting.
Police say 17-year-old Jekobi Douglas of Montgomery was the person killed.
Sgt. Ernestina McGriff told Action 8 News that the shooting happened at about 8:26PM Saturday night, February 1, in the 1200 block of Eastern Boulevard. That location is near Carmichael Road, not far from Interstate 85.
McGriff said when officers arrived, they pronounced Douglas dead.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of a life-threatening gunshot wound.
