Montgomery Police make arrest in weekend homicide
Montgomery Police have charged 25 year old Dejontae Westerly of Montgomery with murder in a February 9th death.
Montgomery police say on Sunday February 9th , 2025 just after 9a.m. police were called to the 1600 block of South Holt Street in reference to a deceased person.
59 year old Charles Harris was pronounced dead on the scene. MPD did not release a cause of death.
25 year old Dejontae Westerly of Montgomery was identified as the suspect.
Westerly was arrested and charged with murder, he is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility with no bond.
MPD did not release any additional information and say the investigation is ongoing.
