Woman killed in Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police are investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday night.

Sgt. Tina McGriff tells Action 8 that shooting happened around 10:27 p.m. in the 500 block of East South Boulevard.

Once officers arrived, they found 61-year-old Barbara Smith, of Montgomery, dead from a gunshot wound.

No word on suspects at this time.
